When will we ever learn to read our History books? This Blog will be discussing ways to sort out some aspects of society today, whereby we can attain some modicum of stability in the future. Please comment on what I write, as I'm just thinking of ways to increase democracy across countries and i'm always thinking of freedom.

The Situation of Ken Bigley

This weekend, we as Britons should be looking at the continuing maelstrom in Iraq in a different light. Whilst we as citizens of this country take all our freedom and liberties for granted, and advocate equality for others throughout the world, that belief is now, at long last, on trial. My Kenneth Bigley, a British engineer, has begged his Prime Minister, Tony Blair, to accede to his captors' demands in the face of impending execution by sword. In a horrifying series of images broadcast all over Britain this poor man is driven to pleading for his life from a man who he has never personally known, but who is directly or indirectly responsible for Ken's plight now. Tony Blair is that man. And unfortunately, but neccessarily, Tony Blair will now be held responsible for whatever happens to Mr Bigley, as the latter believes the former to be his only chance of salvation, the only hope "on God's green Earth" as Mr Bigley so succinctly put it. I can only hope that the swine behind this don't commit the terrible atrocity they have practised so well on Mr Bigley's former fellow American captives. Do these bastards honestly think they're going to paradise by murdering innocents? Well, if they do they're going to be in for a bloody shock. The sight of American contractors being strung up from an Iraqi bridge was bad enough. The very thought of a man who has broadcast a desperate plea for help to millions still being struck down is even worse. If Mr Bigley dies, then in my opinion that is a good enough reason on its own for this Labour Government to be removed from power. Blair had better atone for his sins quick, and I don't mean by saying he can't help this gentleman.
